Directly Driven actually started out as Shaky A.P.E. in the year 2000. Two guys, one named DJ Shaky and one named DJ A.P.E. joined forces and started the historic Monday nights at the Eastside Tavern. For five years the two rocked that bar as well as others like JT Toads on Thursday nights. In 2005 Shaky A.P.E. went their separate ways. Directly Driven was born shortly after. The name comes from the direct drive turntable but also symbolizes the drive that comes directly from within ones self. We all have the drive, ambition, and motivation to make something of our lives. Directly Driven may have started in a bar, but is directly driven to become a serious player in the mobile DJ industry.

In the past five years we’ve understood that in order to accomplish our goals we have to take any and every event possible while providing superior customer service and DJ skills. While weddings remain our specialty, Directly Driven has serviced several charity events, school dances, corporate events, birthday parties, and concerts while still making our mark in the club industry. We have some of the most talented veteran DJ’s in Boise ready to take care of your every need.

Today Directly Driven looks to the future. We have goals to be the most diverse group of DJs ever. In a given week we would like to DJ a Jr. High dance, take care of a wedding, do live sound and lights for a rock band after recording their most recent hit in the studio, make a beat for a local hip hop artist, consult sound and lights for a new club that is opening, DJ in the new club, and still find time to take care of a local charity event.

All in all, Directly Driven Sound Productions might not have a lot of history, but we are looking to make history....
